Some features use an assistant: reading a client message that Qufy’s own reader can’t handle, writing or tightening contract clauses, “Write it for the client” on the rate calculator, the “Follow up” messages in Needs you on Home, and “Suggest with AI” when you import a CSV.
Text you give the assistant, such as a brief, a pasted chat, or contract clauses, is sent through OpenRouter, an AI routing service, to a model provider (currently OpenAI or Google) to produce the answer. Every request asks OpenRouter to use only providers that do not collect the text (“data_collection: deny”). Text sent to the assistant is not used to train models, under OpenRouter’s and the providers’ terms.
Good to know
- Qufy keeps a log of each call with the model name, token counts, and cost, but not your text.
- “Write it for the client” on the rate calculator sends the calculated rates and the client name. It does not send your take-home target.
- A client message with clear hours and prices is turned into line items by Qufy’s own reader first, with no AI. Only when it finds nothing does the text go to the assistant.
- Importing a CSV: “Suggest with AI” sends only the column names and the first 5 rows, never the whole file. “Map without AI” sends nothing; columns are matched by their names. Each suggestion counts toward the daily limit.
- Daily limits: 50 assistant calls a day when you are signed in, and 20 a day without an account. The count starts again each day.
- Do not paste passwords, bank details, or other people’s private data into the assistant.
- The assistant can be wrong. Check every number and clause before you send.
If something goes wrong
- “You've used today's assistant limit. It resets tomorrow.”
- Write or edit the text by hand for now. The limit starts again the next day.
