Steps
- 1
“What do you do?”: pick your work, or “Something else”. Qufy uses it for the example messages on Home, the quote and contract templates, and the help links beside Home.
- 2
“Where do you work?”: pick your country. The currency follows (Egypt EGP, Saudi Arabia SAR, the UAE AED, elsewhere USD), and you can change it on the same step.
- 3
“How do you usually charge?”: by the hour, per project, a monthly retainer, or more than one. With only a monthly retainer, the first step of “Get started” on Home becomes “Set your monthly retainer” instead of an hourly rate.
- 4
“Your rate”: Qufy shows the typical rate for your work in your country, the same Quote rate the rate calculator shows, with its source. Press “Use this rate”, or type your own and press “Next”. It becomes your default hourly rate. A trainer also sees the price per session, a translator the price per word, and marketing and accounting a monthly retainer.
- 5
“Your brand”: your business name and logo (PNG, JPEG, or WebP, up to 1.5 MB). Qufy suggests the color of your documents from the logo's main color; pick another swatch or type a color code if you like.
- 6
“How you get paid”: add one or two payment details: InstaPay, a bank account with its IBAN, a mobile wallet, PayPal, or Wise. Clients see them on your invoices.
- 7
“Bring your clients”: choose a CSV file or paste a table from a spreadsheet, check the columns, press “Preview”, then import. Or press “Later” to finish without importing.
- 8
“Your office is ready” sums up what you set and what is left. Press “Make your first quote”, or “Explore your office” to open Home.
Good to know
- “Next” saves that step at once, and only that step. “Later” moves on without saving anything, and “Back” returns to the step before. Until your office is 100% ready, Home shows “Finish setting up your office” with “Your office is N% ready”, “Continue” (the first step still missing), and “Not now”, which hides the card in this browser for 30 days.
- “Your office is N% ready” counts six things: what you do, where you work, your rate, your business name, your logo, and payment details. “Save your first template” and the Mac app are listed as suggestions but do not count. Each missing item opens its step.
- You can import more later, and undo an import for 7 days, in Settings under Import.
- Your answers live in Settings: profession, country, currency, how you charge, your rate, and your business name under Business; the logo and document color under Documents; payment details under Payments. The rate calculator and the optional rate index use the same answers.
