Steps
- 1
While the timer runs, press the arrow next to it in the top bar.
- 2
Choose the project you want under “Projects”. The running one has a tick.
- 3
If the session has less than 5 minutes of work, Qufy asks “Move this session to {project}?”. Press “Move” to move it, or “Cancel” to leave it as it is.

- 4
If the session has 5 minutes of work or more, Qufy switches at once, with no question.
Good to know
- Move: the same session goes on. It keeps its start time and its note; only the project changes, and the whole session uses the new project's hourly rate.
- Switch: the current session ends now and is saved, with its note, on the old project. A new session starts now on the new project, at its rate, with an empty note.
- The 5 minutes count work only; paused time is left out.
- If the switch fails, the old timer keeps running.
- Only projects with an hourly rate appear in the list. The Mac app uses the same 5-minute rule.
- A session that has already ended cannot change project. Delete it on the Time page and add the time again on the right project.
If something goes wrong
- “Set an hourly rate before starting.”
- The project you chose has no hourly rate now. Add a rate on the project page and try again.
- “That time overlaps another session.”
- A saved session already covers the current time. Open Time, check the latest sessions, and edit or delete the one that overlaps.
